Come dine & drink with me!
London’s bar & restaurant reviews this week.
If you live in London or planning to visit London and would like to pick fabulous places to eat, or not pick the wrong restaurant or bar, these series of Post are for you!
I will be featuring every where I go and give my and my friends verdict.
This week I have been in JW Steak house- Grosvenor House Hotel, the bar of Intercontinental hotel in Park lane  and the bar at Renaissance Hotel at St Pancras .
JW Steakhouse at London‘s five-star Grosvenor House Hotel
Ranked 53 top restaurants in London, the 1st impressions are that you entered in a 1920s film. Styled like an old-school New York steakhouse – with dark wood, chequered floors and chalkboard menus. If you are a vegetarian, this place inst for you as the menu is mainly of meat, turning HRH and SI into cave men.
Before we have a sit at our table, we drank champagne at the bar and try their baked popcorn with parmesan. Total lush ! I cannot believe I never try adding parmesan on top of my popcorn.
With the Tumblehalk (900G steak served in the bone) as the main for the boys, the girls opted for Oscar (6 oz/ 200 g Steak served with crab and asparagus) the side dishes were classic like macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach. Absolute divine!

Are you going to eat all this by yourself  tonight?

6 oz rib eye steak – Oscar
Now, the most importantly part of the meal: the dessert. We opted to share the famous vanilla cheesecake. It was wonderful. Feels like I am in NY !
This restaurant isn’t cheap but its definitive value as you gets what you are paying for.
Staff were so great and helpful and our overall dinner experience rating was 9.3

Intercontinental hotel bar at Park lane.
Me and HRH like coming here, as we stayed in the hotel during our valentines in 2010. The staffs are attentive and we are always very spoiled.
Last time we went for drinks with friends and shared a champagne bottle + grapefruit cocktail. (Recommend it for sure)  We order a couple of platters just to keep us going.

The cold pattern was: palm hearts wrapped in parma ham and froi gra in light crakers with marmelade jelly on top. And the hot  platter was meet and chicken skewers and calamari frit.

The prices are what you expect in London, so don’t expect to be cheap as chips. The bar area is quite small and cosy with one part filled with big soft sofas and the others with tables and big chairs. Our overall experience rating was 8.3

Renaissance Hotel bar at St Pancras
Opened March 2011, the Victorian era building which is Grade 1 listed has been fully restored with the help of the English Heritage creating a breath taking view.HRH  and Myself stopped there for a drink before we head back home on the train. What impressed me the most is the Champagne bar that is considered the longest in Europe at 90 meters long. The service is fantastic and staff are so polite you feel like Lady & lord of the manor.  He had local ale and I had a champagne cocktail, and we shared the pig in a blanket.(Sausages wrapped in bacon)  Amazing!!! We decided we must try the restaurant another time.
Ale

looks beautiful but not for me ! I would not ask this again!

So good. Recommend this . £5
