Textile hunter: Inspirational quilts plus Amy Butler Bloom Quilt download!
Textile hunter series will look for fabulous use of fabrics and other trends. The 1st one of the series, I will share inspirational quilts.Throughout history, people have enjoyed quilts for many different reasons and this practice can be traced back to ancient Egypt and China ,where three layers of fabrics (top, batting for warmth, and backing) were stitched together to keep the middle layer from slipping and clumping.
Well, I am not going to lecture you in the history of quilting as you can read about here.
These belong to Hometown!  Sorry my little digital camera definably doesn’t capture how magnificent they are.

  • Did you make the last quilt? I always respect people who make quilts because it so time consuming, and you need to be able to visualize your pattern.

  • hi Dibs, yes, the orange & green UFO is my quilt. I am working on the hand quilting part now and its taking ages !!! But my aim is to finish all my UFOs by Sept. And then hopefully I will be able to show it in its full glory on my living room ! xx
