‘ Batatinha’, a doll for a really special little girl…

‘Batatinha’ (little potato) is the nickname my friends are using to called their baby bump girl. Carol been my friend forever and we had so much fun and my best memories from school are from our adventures together.

I wanted to make something special for her first child due in december but not to big and the molly doll was perfect. I  made it early july so my parents could taken with them. Now that she received it, I can share it with you.

Pattern: Molly Makes issue 14. This doll is available to download free.
Fabric: Clothes Cath Kidston, muslin for the body and mohair wool for the hair from my cape.

Did it look like the photo/drawing of the pattern once you were done sewing with it? this time the doll is a bit smaller and the final size is 38 cm

Did you use new skills or a particular skill: I have drawn and embroidered her face. I loved how angelic it looks.

Did you make any alterations or modifications? No.
