Pattern Description: High waisted A-line skirt with fitted waistline. Features button front placket, wide waistband, large scoop pockets and pleating in the front and back.
Notions: 7 buttons, interfacing and stay tape
Time to complete: This patterns its such a breeze to sew, I think 2:30 to 3 hours
Did the pattern turn out like the picture or drawing? Yes.
Did you make any alterations or modifications? Nope… I love skirts.. they are my salvation when I don’t feel like facing fitting issues.
First worn: Sept 2012
Will you make it again? Yes. Let’s go fabric shopping because I want to make some more.
What did you particularly like or dislike about this pattern: Its a very simple shape and I love the pockets. I would recommend as the perfect beginners pattern.
Did you use new skills or a particular skill: Nope.

Conclusion: I really love making this skirt. It’s easy, fast and very cute. I would say the pockets are big. It almost interfered with my pleases. I feel if you sew a size smaller than ‘M’ you should make the pocket smaller.
This is my 3rd item for the wardrobe challenge. You can tell “RED” is the theme of the items! I’m making another top soon and I’m sure it will look adorable with this skirt.
