Sewing with Pets!

Every time I catch a glance of your pets, either competing attention with your new project, sitting next to the the sewing machine (sometimes on top lol) or just looking cute back at you, I miss my sewing companion… Cannot blame her to want to live in sunny Brazil!
I wanted to share some of our sewing moments:

“A person can learn a lot from a dog, even a loopy one like ours. Marley taught me about living each day with unbridled exuberance and joy, about seizing the moment and following your heart. He taught me to appreciate the simple things-a walk in the woods, a fresh snowfall, a nap in a shaft of winter sunlight. And as he grew old and achy, he taught me about optimism in the face of adversity. Mostly, he taught me about friendship and selflessness and, above all else, unwavering loyalty.”

  • Our only pets are chooks (or chickens in your language) – definitely not sewing friendly animals at all…J

    • Ohh thanks for the new word.. Yes not the most sewing friendly pet… Lol

  • Awwwww what a sweetie 🙂

  • What a cutie!

  • Oh, what a sweetheart! It’s amazing how much capacity we have to love our pets!

  • Oh, I loved having my dog Tootsie in the sewing room. She’d hate me for paying attention to the machine and would do the silliest things to get my attention. Of course, she always got it. I miss her, and I know your feelings.

  • What a great companion! She is adorable.

  • I really miss my dogs, but sadly my current work lifestyle wouldn’t allow me to have another dog – however as soon as I retire that is one on the list.

Hope you are feeling better now & Happy New Year.

    • I cannot wait to have a lifestyle I can own a dog in the UK too… They are previous companions. I’m recovering slowly..

  • aww she a doll! I can’t blame her wanting to live in Brazil either, looks lovely where she is, it’s a dogs life, eh? (I’d swap hehe)
I love having my dog around too, she’s old now though, so she just lies on my bed and watches me, occasionally wagging her tail 🙂

  • Your dog looks so much like my dog named Gracie. I call her my angel. Lovely post Rachel.

  • I love my brood in the sewingroom with me- they are why I have the loveseat in ther- altho they’d prefer to cluster on the desktop?! As I type this with one hand because Bruderlein is sleeping across my left arm!

  • She is so cute! That first picture looks exactly like one of my dogs. Is she part shepherd? My other dog likes to roll over for a belly rub when she’s not getting the attention she wants. 🙂

Eu acharia bom risos

  • What a sweet dog. Love the photos.. Know you miss her..But, bet she is enjoying the Brazilian sunshine…

  • Awe, thanks for sharing 🙂 There’s nothing like the companionship of a dog or cat, patiently hanging out while one sews.

  • awww sweet girl. i love having my pups around when i craft. even when i am bothered when the pull my attention away… i remind myself that one day i will be begging them for attention.

  • I’m all about sewing with company! Bimble and Pimble are often curled at my feet (or sometimes on my lap) and that makes it challenging to sew but great for free hugs 😀

What a love! I have a dog and a cat. Leopold (dog)lays outside the sewing room door and gives huge sighs when he has been too long without a cuddle and Seraphena (cat) sits in the window and makes occasional comments on the length of the project. Can’t get anything done with them or without them. Regena in TN.

  • Is she a German Shepherd? She’s beautiful!

  • To me life just wouldn’t be worth living without pets!

  • She’s pretty. I miss having a dog around too. I always jump on other people’s dogs now 🙂

  • Oh what a lovely doggie they are faithful such souls
