{International Craft Swap: Nautical} Sponsored giveaway: Fingerless Gloves Pattern with Pleats.

Hello Swappers,

Deadline for sending the crafts is fast approaching. Don’t forget to post your photos on our Flickr goup. I would love to feature it on the blog.

This week sponsor is the very talented Gina from Gina Renee Designs.

My mother taught me how to sew at the age of 10 making small items like purses and scarves. Then in middle school and high school I sewed most of my clothes. In high school, my best friend (who also sews) and I held two fashion shows showcasing all the clothes we made. I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and then got a degree in Fashion Design. After working in the high-end fashion arena for several years, I decided to move into action sports brands so I moved to California. I currently work freelance at home developing clothing for different brands.

In addition, I also give sewing lessons and try to promote the art of sewing by making adorable hat and accessory patterns. I love hats and love items with a feminine touch to them. I think sewing is an amazing craft to learn and it is something that you can take as far as you would like in the creative realm.

My patterns can be found at www.GinaReneeDesigns.Etsy.com. Get creative and make your own accessories to add to your wardrobe.

Happy Sewing!
-Gina Renee

  • My favourite holiday destination is Barcelona

I (honest to goodness) split up with an ex in Barcelona on holiday and STILL loved it! That says something about the place! hahaha

    Vibrant, warm and friendly

  • My favourite holiday destination is Croatia, particularly Split and the Dalmatian coast. So beautiful!

But right now anywhere warm would be good, it’s still freezing here!

  • Hmm. Are we supposed to have found out who our swap partners are yet? I haven’t heard anything, and sort of thought we were meant to get this before making something.

    • Hi Laura, while ago I asked anyone that haven’t heard from me to let me know because emails get lost. I need to check if the lost connection was on my inbox or not.

  • Lovely pattern!

    My favourite holiday destination? France.

  • Just anywhere near the sea! And it should be warm as well.. Egypt, Malta, Maldives, Mediterranean countries.. I’m not fussy πŸ™‚
That’s a nice giveaway.. it seems we have another month of winter, so the gloves would be handy πŸ™‚

  • My favorite holiday destination at this time is Oregon- The coast is lovely! ~Laurie

  • It has to be Hong Kong – such a vibrant and exciting city, but within it there is peace and tranquility too.

  • Favourite holiday is Australia – but only because I get to spend time with family, otherwise it’s too far and too costly to be a favourite. Western Isles of Scotland would be my go-to for a quick getaway – where fingerless gloves would most definitely come in handy.

  • O yes, yes, yes… I have just seen in my agenda – DEADLINE!

  • Honestly, anywhere warm would be fabulous right now – I am tired of the cold! If I had to pick one place it would be San Francisco – it’s such an interesting place, I love the weather (even the fog!), I’ve eaten some of my favourite meals ever there but, most importantly, my brother lives there and I don’t get to see him nearly enough πŸ™‚

  • I love Hawaii but New York and France are on a wish list that is in my favourites πŸ™‚

  • I actually want to visit some more of Italy. I have never been to Florence and Venice, and I want to properly visit Rome.
Thanks for the giveaway, and happy holiday! πŸ™‚

  • My favourite holiday destinations are countryside locations with great outdoors. I guess I could say France? I’ve been to a couple places in France, and my absolute favourite was a cycling holiday to Burgundy.

  • I like going for long car drives and train trips. I love going places by train. I like going to California to visit my family and one day I’d like to travel to Spain.

  • I like vising family in California and one day I’d like to travel to Spain.

  • I love exploring South East Asia, particularly Luang Prabang in Laos and Hoi An in Vietnam. However I do love Rome!

  • I love Rome!

  • Everyone above has been to such exotic and romantic locations! I’ve been to Bermuda a couple of times years ago and loved it, but now all our vacations seem to be spent on North Carolina beaches (I obviously need to travel more!).

  • My favourite holiday destination is Bali, Indonesia. So beautiful!

  • Anonymous

For me the Austrian Mountains during the summer. That is my favourite holiday destination.

  • I love fingerless gloves & not very long ago I was looking for Opera length gloves, sewn rather than knitted! No doubt a similar opportunity will arise so I’d dearly like to be the lucky reader chosen to receivE this pattern!

  • My favourite holiday destination is definitely Italy. Beautiful!
