Forget the hot chocolate, bring me Pimms!

Pattern:“Hot Cocoa Sweater”from my very talented friend Dixie. It’s a free download

Level: Very simple, although unless your Dixie’s size you must know how to grade a pattern.
Fabric: Bargain buy £2 M from Birmingham rag market.
Pattern alteration: The grading went without a hitch but there is a slight gape on the back neckline. Overall the neckline is a bit high. My fault when changing from the original boat neck shape of the pattern. Very simple reiteration for the next one. I did my sleeves 3/4 for easy seasonal transition.
Details and notions: Leather Patch pocket.
I used fabric glue to baste into place and sewn with straight stitch. Didn’t even change the needle. I did a test sample and It worked. I wonder if I was to sew a whole garment would make any difference.Patch pocket free download

Likes & Dislikes: Like everything about it, I made the front curve more define, similar to the briar.

Conclusion: Very easy to sew. Great pattern for a loose fitting slightly shaped top.  Can you believe me? A loose fitting PDF…

Tips: Used ‘Stitch in the ditch’ on the neckline and narrow hem feet. Wowww Perfection! They both help guide the stitch on the right position making the work very uniform.
