Save the date: Saturday May 17. Sewing meet up: London

Save the date: Saturday May 17. Sewing meet up: London
Hello friends,

Last year was my pleasure to host an Epic sewing meet up.  Are you ready to join again? This time our international guests come from NY: Clio, Jenny, Devra (maybe Oona if works allows). Glad to confirm that CarmecitaB just book her ticket too! Worray!
This year plans are still in progress but you can check last year plans have an idea what we did. Booking food for more than 30 people was a big challenge so we will probably start this meeting a bit later and finish the day having cocktails.  Sally will be trying out load of cocktails in name of research!
Since we are having friends coming from outside the UK, I’m going to be putting together a list of things to do and visit and we will have a few activities outside the meet up, so don’t worry if you cannot make the saturday. You may be able to make smaller events. (For those keep an eye on twitter)
Emails can get lost so all the plans will be shared on the blog. If you need my number you can ask by email.
Don’t be shy, come to join us.

  • You guys looked like you had so much fun last year. I’m so jealous. Can I still join if I don’t have a blog?

    • Of course. This is a open invite for sewist. Having a blog isn’t essential. It’s fun so people you meet catch up on your makes

  • I’m in again! It will be great to meet our international sewists too!

  • Ooh i’m in! Can’t wait!

  • Later in the day to start would be good, it will allow time for people to travel to London. I can’t really afford to stay over but would hopefully be able to make it there and back in a day. So long as I’m not moving house then I hope to be there. 🙂

  • I was gutted to miss out last year, so I’ll definitely be coming this year 🙂

  • Vicki Halliday

I’m so excited for this! Thanks for organising. Can’t wait to hear more about the plans.

  • I wish I could come back for this! It looks like so much fun!! Unfortunately it won’t happen, perhaps I should time next year’s trip better!!

  • Oh, too soon! Working on my first trip to London in August. Had a blast meeting the Nyc gang and I am sure the London Ladies are just as fun. Super Jealous!

  • Hello! I just wanted to flag up that this date is also the day of the FA Cup Final too, so expect a lot of football fans to be about. The final is going to be contested between Wigan, Arsenal, Hull or Sheffield United, so there’s a chance of a lot of busy trains coming from the north. The kick off is usually 3pm, meaning the match would end just before 5pm, so it’s worth bearing in mind when booking train times – it’s definitely worth booking soon, as they’ll sell out quickly!

  • Golly ! I so would love to come from NZ – I was looking into visiting in August though. 🙁

  • I would love to come along – I’m really looking forward to meeting other sewists in person!
