  • Congratulations on three wonderful years. I think the favourite thing I’ve ever seen on your blog is charlotte skirt in that fabulous Alice in wonderland fabric.

  • Hi Rachel, I absolutely love your latest flora dress with the beautiful pink/purple fabric – so pretty! Well done on 3 years! One of the reasons I love reading your blog is your down-to-earth writing style and also your fashion style or what you choose to make is awesome. Thanks!

  • Oh that is such a hard question! I love your look, I love how well you know what suits both your body and your personality. And I know it’s probably a bit of an obvious choice but I LOVE the Troubador dress. I love that fabric so much and I loved the lines of it and the blocking. It is a dress of real joy!
    Congratulations on three years!

  • Congrats! I love the number round up at the beginning showcasing all your achievements ! That’s so cool to quantify it! I would SO love that Simplicity/fabric/book bundle!!! (I already own all of the By Hand London patterns so I already know how amazing that package is!!). My favourite post is the Brazilian Bombshell because I love that pattern (I havent made one for myself yet) but MAINLY because that was the first post of yours that I ever read last summer when I started sewing and was one of the main motivators for me to start my OWN sewing blog!! 😀 (http://SeamsLikeChrystal.blogspot.ca and chrystalmckay@gmail.com)

  • I haven’t been reading long, maybe a month so far, so I don’t know what outfit of yours is my favorite. But, I do LOVE that flora dress you just made!

  • Wow, congrats! That are a lot of garments you have made in 3 years! I love your take on the Victoria Blazer and your recent blogpost about how stressful the blogging/sewing life balance can be. Thanks again for organising the meet up today! I was lovely meeting you! x Charlie

  • Wow, such a wonderful giveaway! All BHL patterns? Oh My God!
I loved your pink coat, the one you made for Project sewn, it was just gorgeous 🙂

  • Congratulations! I love the black and white pants and shirt you made for project sewn. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Good job:)

  • You’ve made loads of lovely things! I love the round-up graphic too – numbers are much easier to digest when they’re displayed like that. I like your blog because you’re always up to something new and there’s an unpredictable element – it’s mostly clothing but then you throw in something unexpected like a doll or a recipe and that helps to build up the picture of your life. Plus, I’m totally awed by your English – my Brazilian is none-existent! I think my favourite thing you’ve made is probably the chambray Kelly. I loved it so much I copied it!

  • Meg

Congrats! I still think my favorite is your dramatic pink coat from Project Sewn!

  • I love your pink coat too! I love your use of colour and prints and your photographs are always beautiful. Congratulations on 3 years on Pinheirodom!

  • Congratulations! My favourite garment would have to be your Sherlock cape – it looked fantastic on you.

  • Congratulations! It’s so hard to choose my favourite, because everything you make is stunning, but looking back through I think my favourite would be your geometric Elisalex dress – the collar is amazing on it 🙂

    teaandrainbows [at] gmail [dot] com

  • My favorite is the Bagpuss Coat. I love the colorful fabric, I love the quilting, I love the fact that you improvised as you went along. That coat is just the best! Thanks for the inspiration and the chance to win some awesome goodies.

  • Your wardrobe makes me smile. my favourite outfit would have to be the modern mademoiselle coco- so great together but all the pieces can be worn separately.

  • Congrats on 3 yrs! I love your Deer & Doe Plantain- the elbow patches rock!

  • Congrats! One of my favorite things you’ve made is not a item of clothing but it is the cooper bag. It is by far the cutest bag i’ve ever seen. You used the cutest fabric that worked so well together. Great job, you deserve it:-)

  • Ali

I started following your blog around the time you release the Brasilia dress and because I was so new to the world of sewing I was so incredibly impressed that you made a dress pattern and then released it to the world! I have only been sewing for a year but srsly it’s blogs like yours that inspire me 🙂 🙂 for realz

  • My favourite of your outfits is ‘da bomb’ from project sewn. I love that pink coat so much and the little cut outs on the top. Truly though, pretty much everything you make is gorgeous!

  • Hey Rachel,
Everything you make looks fabulous on you:)
However, I just adore your Betty dress.
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Brazilla dress, clever use of darts and piecing to make a very memorable look

  • Congratulation! 🙂 My favorite outfit is definitely your latest flora dress, but I’m also a big fan of Da bomb pink coat. It’s so colourful and extravagant. I’m in love! I would never be able to wear something like that and maybe this is why I love it so much! It’s inspiring and it’s a wake up call to get out of your confort zone sometimes to try new things and to be different!

  • Congratulations on the third anniversary of your interesting and varied blog! One of the things I enjoy seeing on your blog are the beautiful, bright florals and how you use them. On the other hand, I’m in love with the fabric combinations you used on your Coco dresses. Does it surprise you that I would love to win #1 with all those patterns I don’t have, and the gorgeous fabrics?

  • I started following you after last year’s Mad amen challenge and I just love to read your blog because of your very modern sense of style. I love seeing the things you make 🙂 And I loved your Brasilia dress – so pretty!

  • Congrats! I love your new flora dress- it’s so beautiful! I haven’t sewn any BHL patterns so I’m hoping I might win the first prize pack *crossing fingers*

  • I liked the pink coat from project sewn!

  • Dear Rachel

I have only come across your blog in the last couple of months, however I think I have gone back and read every single post you have written!

I find your blog quite inspirational, you seem to have this creative flair and amazing eye for making things work, and your sewing ability is impressive. Virtually all your makes have made me think “wow!” and “I want to try that!”. As a result I have a number (too many!) of your projects bookmarked as things I want to try.

At the risk of repeating what other people have said, I adore your pink Burda coat that you made for Project Sewn. I also really enjoyed reading about your sewing class with Chinello. I love to learn new techniques, and I like how you go ‘behind the scenes’ in all of your posts and explain not only how you made something, but also what your inspiration for the project is (e.g. in your Coco meets Rachel post).

Anyway, enough rambling! Happy 3rd birthday!

    Evelyn

  • Deb

I think my favourite at the moment is your Ultimate wrap dress (http://houseofpinheiro.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/ultimate-wrap-dress-from-sew-over-it.html) – I think it looks great even with having to mend it during sewing.

  • I love your recent Flora dress (my current favourite pattern!) I read your blog, because you get really involved in the subject matter. Your passion for making comes across and your participation and involvement in the sewing community is inspiring. Also, your generosity in organising a day like yesterday is astounding. It was a lovely gathering and everyone came away with something positive. Keep writing, but try not to over do it and get some rest!!! Blog is marillawalker.blogspot.co.uk and email is rillafree@hotmail.com

  • I came to your blog from Project Sewn, where I fell madly in love with both your Da Bomb coat and Troubador dress. They’re beautiful, bright, and look amazing on you.

Also, your stats are amazing! I’ve been sewing (on and off) for 20 years and haven’t made a quarter of the number of garments you’ve made in three! I am so freaking impressed!

Thanks for your wonderful generosity in sharing these great prizes! Happy bloggiversary!

  • Saf

I love most of what you’ve made. I like to read your blog as it makes me smile every time I do. Even in the typically British weather that we have. Congratulations on 3 years! Onto the next…
    Saf

  • Congratulation! Your latest Flora dress are really stunning but I also love that statement piece from Project Sewn – that pink coat. Your prizes are great and it would be joy to win bundle nr.1 with the patterns.

  • Hi Rachel! I don’t know if I REALLY qualify to go in your very generous draw as I have just today begun reading your blog…& the reason I looked you up was on reading about the fabulous Meet Up you organised in London yesterday. By all accounts, everyone had a FABULOUS time & I found myself thinking “Just who is this Rachel?”…& now I know! Well done!

  • Hi. Congratulations. That’s such a generous giveaway. My favourite of your makes is the first blog post of yours I ever read – the winter cape. I love the gorgeous fabric, the colour, the cut, everything. I always look forward to your posts. All the best for the future.

  • Congratulations and thanks for these fab giveaways! I read your blog because it’s so very inspirational, especially your creativity! My fave make, that’s a tough one but one of my faves is your Sherlock cape.

  • Kat

Congratulations on your blogiversary and thanks for an amazing day yesterday!! I read your blog because you have an incredible style, take great photos, make beautiful clothes and have an amazing frequency of posts! I love pretty much everything you make but recently really loved your Flora dress!!

  • Kat

Congratulations on your blogiversary and thanks for an amazing day yesterday!! I read your blog because you have an incredible style, take great photos, make beautiful clothes and have an amazing frequency of posts! I love pretty much everything you make but recently really loved your Flora dress!!

  • Happy blogiversary! While I think I love every last one of your outfits, I think my absolute favourite is your Da Bomb coat from Project Sewn. This is THE post in the blogosphere that has really motivated me to make a coat for myself! I adore the colour too, it’s such a statement compared to the boring coats I’ve seen in the shops (unless your ready to spend an absolute fortune!). So thanks so much for all the inspiration and also for hosting such a fantastic giveaway!

  • Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary! My favourite make of yours is the midsummer nights dream dress. That was when I started following your blog when I saw it on the Minerva crafts blogger network. Love your blog because of your brilliant styling and photos.

  • Hi Rachel, what an achievement! And what a giveaway – love the first bundle. What I like about your blog is that not only do you sew fabulous clothes but you also make those cute little non-garment things like dolls and animals and also the yummy looking food! My favourite recent make is flora in the forest. Happy blogiversary! 😄

  • Yay! Happy blogiversary! Sorry I couldn’t make it down yesterday!! I absolutely adore your blog and am so glad we’ve been able to meet! My fave garment is the fabulous pink coat you made for Project Sewn! Exquisite!!

  • I found your blog through Project Sewn and while I loved the whole outfit you made the first week it has to be the pink coat you made in the second. I think everyone who sees it must smile, it’s just so cheerful.

  • I found your blog through Project Sewn and I’ve adored absolutely everything you have produced since. You manage to make even the basics look super stylish and glamourous. Fingers crossed my name is picked, I’d love the BHL bundle. Adore the Eloise fabric

  • Hello Rachel. I only discovered your blog recently, when Tilly tweeted your colour block Coco. It was lovely to meet you yesterday. Thanks for organising it!
I liked the down to earth honesty of your burnt out post last week. And the photography in general- wow.
I will be reading back through your older posts. You inspire me to take my own sewing up a gear.

  • Three years- that’s so ace! Plus that info graphic is WICKED! I think probably some of my fave of your makes have been the Datura blouses and the amazing coat you did for project sewn!

  • Anonymous

My favourite make is the feliz natal dress, you look great wearing it. It looks so elegant but also comfortable. As Christmas is my favourite time of year I would love to wake up to find it my stocking. Good luck with your future blogging. Alyson.

  • Congratulations on your third anniversary! I love a lot of your makes but one of my favorites is the Red Ponte Named Dakota dress you made during the sewalong. It’s so chique and beautiful!
I also love your Flora in the forest dress, since that’s absolutely stunning and I want to steal it from your wardrobe, in which case the hem would drag over the floor since I’m about 20 cms shorter than you. Lovely make nevertheless!

  • Hi Rachel, Happy Anniversary!!! When I saw the competition terms I knew I was going to pik a favorite item. Then as I started to think about it, I remembered that as soon as I see a new creation pop up on the blog I always think…oooo… that is my favorite so far. However this all changed when you made the Pink-heiro Ya da Bomb coat. It has been stuck in mind since and I know when I get brave enough to make a coat that will be my first 🙂
    Love Katrina x

  • Posts like “Keeping busy and burned out of steam” are why I read – you might be (very) gorgeous and prolific, but you seem so much more like a real person… It makes me happy 🙂

  • Congratulations your list it very impressive.
Difficult to choose a favorite garment I love:
    the coat:
    the shorts: http://houseofpinheiro.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/hat-making-thoughts.html
    the fox: http://houseofpinheiro.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/welcome-baby-boy.html

  • My favorite recent post has to be the Bagpuss coat because I love the name and I love the pink fabric that inspired the name! But I also really liked your interview with the women behind Named Patterns. I was more interested in their patterns after reading some of their thoughts, so thank you for providing them!

  • Congratulations! That infographic is so interesting. Thank you for the giveaway. The outfit that instantly springs to my mind (although I’ve not read all your posts so my sample is incomplete!!) is the pink jacket you made for Project Sewn. I LOVE how fierce it is! Rachel ☺

  • Hello, i think i found your blog via Tilly’s, not completely sure though. I was struck by how you use colorful fabrics and tricky ones in a seemingly easy manner. And, you wear them so well that it’s eye candy each time. I don’t really know what to choose…for example i really liked your second Coco dress.

  • I e enjoyed so many, but your gepmetrix Elisalex is probably my favourite. I would love the win bundle 1, fantastic give away, thanks

  • Happy blog anniversary! What a cool infographic! Choosing just one outfit is tough. One of my favorites is the Victoria Blazer. I also love your Flora dress, which you just made. But there are many more outfits like your Burda Style bubble skirt, the Red Ponte Named Dakota dress, or the Datura blouses. That’s the reason why I love to read your blog so much: your makes are always georgeous. Looking forward to the next three years! 🙂

  • So many beautiful garments and interesting discussions! I think though my favourite outfit is your Troubadour dress for Project Sewn – the fabrics were stunning and the fit perfect, I was really blown away by it. I can’t remember now how I came across your blog, but I love seeing your fabulous sewing skills in action and your support for other sewers. Happy anniversary Rachel!! 😀

  • hmm its so hard to choose a favourite project of yours because they are all just so amazing. At a push I’d say your Betty dress is my favourite because I love the silhouette and fabric on you! I’d love to win bundle 1, thanks for the giveaway!

  • Congrats on 3 years 🙂 I love reading your posts but my favourite has to be the pink Project Sewn coat it’s so gorgeous. Thank you for organising this giveaway 🙂

  • My favourite make to date was the amazing pink coat!

  • Happy Birthday Rachel, congrats on your 3 years. Thank you so much for existing and participating so much within this GLOBAL sewing community. I hope Nylon2014 went super well I so wish I could have been there, I would hope to come from NZ at some point to visit you all at a meet up. My favourite post and outfit by yours is a recent one the pink jacket you made for Project Sewn. It was so so epic and really highlighted your bold awesome taste in colour, your originality and inspiration to be unique, and your amazing modelling skills of course! You always continue to be an inspiration. What bundles you have in the giveaway, ill keep fingers x’d. xx much love

  • Hi Rachel
Happy Blog Anniversary. I adore your blog, you know your style/fit and what suits you. I love how you share every detail of your project, hints and tips with fabulous pics.

  • Love the pants you made for project sewn – you looked fantactic in them. Hell you look fanatic in everything! Congrats on your blogiversary.

  • When I read the question of what is my favourite make of yours I immediately though of these shorts http://houseofpinheiro.blogspot.com.au/2014/02/moderne-mademoisellecoco-meets-rachel.html
I am so happy you’ve managed to keep writing for 3yrs, I’ve loved reading your blog for the last year or so 🙂 I hope you continue to write stuff, as I’ve really enjoyed seeing how you style your clothes 🙂

  • I first came across your blog when I was searching for bloggers who had made Simplicity 2451, back in 2012 and fell in love with your piped coral version of the skirt. But my favourite House of Pinheiro outfit is the Chanel inspired jacket with the lining as blouse (it’s just SO classy!). Three more years please- at least!

First of all, I loved how creative your modification was and secondly I just couldn’t believe how impeccable your fitting skills are! I mean ALL the amazing BHL patterns in one prize? That’s just rad!

  • Congrats on your third blogiversary! I just love your sense of style and how you rock it. My favourite garment is the pink coat you did for project sewn. I hope you’ll keep on going for a long time!

  • You’ve made so many gorgeous clothes that it’s pretty hard to choose just one! Instead, I’m going to say the one that literally made my draw drop as I mouthed “WOW” at my computer screen – you’re belted pink coat for Project Sewn!
Thank you for hosting this lovely giveaway and also thank you for hosting the lovely meet up yesterday – it was lovely to meet you and I had a fantastic day!

  • First of all, congratulations!!
It is so hard to pick a favourite outfit, I love what you do! One thing that stuck very much to me was your big pink coat from Project Sewn, though, I LOVED that one! I had been thinking to make one after I saw the pattern in Burda, and you convinced me I HAVE to, someday :p (I’m a bit of a procrastinator and I already have a zillion projects ready to be started…) I also really loved your Troubadour dress from the moment I saw it. It went straight on my sewing inspiration board!
Thank you for hosting this giveaway, and frankly, thank you for blogging! I always look forward to your posts 🙂

  • Congratulations on your blogiversary. Hope you all had a fabulous time yesterday (looks like judging by instagram!) I love your Victoria Blazer… fabulous print. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Happy blogiversary Rachel! I love reading your blog, you have such a positive vibe and additude and your hard work shows in the things you make. The sherlock cape is the garment that led me to your blog and it’s still my favorite. It’s so classic, well made and in a great colour.

  • Congratulations on three splendid years. So miffed I couldn’t make it down yesterday. I absolutely love your Moderne Mademoiselle outfit for project sewn. But, if truth be told, you never make a bad outfit!

  • PS….I love Bundle 1.

  • 3 years, well done. I really like your lola dress, I was inspired to buy some grey ponte to make my own. Fabric still in the bag and pattern not yet purchased! All the by Hand patterns wow! I’ve made Anna 3 times but non of the others yet. I like seeing how you adapt patterns to suit your height.

  • Happy blog birthday! I know it’s one of your more simple makes, but I started following your blog regularly after seeing your Coppelia faux wrap top. But the Named top you made for Project Sewn is a close second. Plus, as an expat in a country with a different language (American in France), I appreciate your living and blogging in another language!

  • I really enjoyed your post about how not to commit to too many things, and obviously you just look stunning in everything you make!

  • Congratulations! I love so many of your makes, and I think your recent Flora is my favourite. You look so happy in it! So many reasons to read your blog – you are always trying something new and you are so supportive of others.

  • Rachel, I love your blog.. Have followed you since our Sew Weekly days.. Everything you make is gorgeous [both garments and crafts..plus love the cooking post too]. I would say my favorite [really too hard to choose.ha], is the coat you did a year or so ago..It was beautiful… Congrats on your 3 yr anniversary.

  • Leah

I’ve only just found your blog but I love your style and your info graphics!

My favourite outfit you’ve made is the swishing Betty dress. It’s what made me start following your blog as I love vintage style patterns and that dress is beautiful!

  • Amy

Congratulations on three years blogging! And, what years they have been! I have to admit though I like keeping up with all of your makes, one of the biggest reasons I enjoy reading is that you seem to have such a good pulse on the sewing blogging community at large. Some of my favorite posts have been posting without any sewing at all!

  • Amy

It seems my previous comment disappeared? It went something like… Congratulations on three years of blogging! And what amazing years they have been! I have to admit that though I like keeping up with all of your makes, one of the biggest reasons I enjoy following your blog is that you seem to have such a good read on the sewing blogging community. Some of my favorite posts of yours have had no sewing in them at all – just good discussions!

  • Amy

Okay, it keeps eating my comments! Hopefully there won’t be three in a row that say roughly the same thing once I’m through trying one more time. Congratulations on three years of blogging! What amazing years they have been, too! I have to admit that though I like keeping up with all of your sewing, one of my favorite things about your blog is that you seem to have such a good read on the sewing blogging community. Some of my favorite posts have had little to no sewing – just a lot of good discussion! amy.ahearta at gmail dot com

  • Jessica R

A small thing which makes me smile is when your outfit photos are taken in Brazil because the light is so different that I can tell it is not dreary old England straight away. So I think your Copacabana outfit for project sewn is my favorite because it brings that feeling even without being photographed in the sun!
I would love the by hand patterns especially, as all your versions have such different personalities. jmrbs31 {at} gmail {dot} com

  • Congrats on your anniversary! I loved that hot pink belted wrap coat you made recently. Thanks for all your inspirational sewing and for helping me out via IG a few times too!

  • Congratulations and happy Blog anniversary! It’s hard to pick one outfit but I would say pretty pastel hepworth dress because I love the fabric you used.

  • I’m going to have to say the Troubador dress that you entered in Project Sewn. I like your use of different fabrics together there, and the structured fit of the dress. I follow your blog to get ideas on projects to make, fabrics to use, and also because I enjoy reading about other people’s sewing projects.
    Congratulations on three years!
    Claire

  • Congratulations! I started reading your blog because I wanted to read more about the pink coat you did for project sewn, fabulous!

  • I loved your Troubadour dress for Project Sewn <3 The fabrics, colours, and the unique yet flattering design lines of the dress turned out so beautifully! And it introduced me to Show Studio…wow, what a resource!

  • Kim

Wow! Some pretty impressive stats! I love how you displayed them all!
My favourite post is quite difficult, but I really like the recent one about how you style your outfits. But I actually really like them all! Happy blogiversary!

  • I really loved your hat post!

  • Congratulations on your blog anniversary! You’ve created so many fab outfits, but I think my favourite one is the stunning pink coat from Project Sewn!

  • Congratulations from me too on you three years of blogging. There are quite a few contenders which I consider my favourites, but as I love polkadots, I’ll go with your Elisalot polkadot dress, that’s really fab.

  • Congratulations on your 3rd blog birthday. I haven’t neen reading you from the start as I only got into sewing last year. I went back and read quite a number of your older blogs but decided to stick to the time I have been with you. I loved your garments for Project Sewn and voted for you. My favourite was the da bomb pink jacket, which I loved and I looked that you heeled your friend make one to suit her. I like your tutorials and your advice how to modify to suit. I really like the graphics at the top of this post.

  • Congratulations, and I love your infographic! Did it take long to crunch those numbers?, very impressive 🙂 I loved your cape and as I have seen it in real life I can testify that it is very beautiful too but you have made so many lovely things since then and you have a good sense of your style and what suits you.

  • I’ve also tweeted your giveaway

    K x

  • Congrats! I read your blog because I love your style and your enthusiasm! The coat you made for Project Sewn is definitely one of my favorites. I’ve ogled but never owned the BHL patterns, so I’d love to win bundle 1!

  • I like reading about how your sewing and blogging has created a community and friends who share a common passion. My favorite dress you made is the Brasilia dress. Such a great pattern with great seaming details, and I am so impressed you drafted it yourself!

  • Congratulations!!!!! And happy blog birthday 🙂
I love so many of the outfits you make and being pretty girly I really liked your Betty Dress from Sew Over it BUT my absolute favourite garment from your whole blog is the shorts you made for your Coco inspired post in February. They were based on the BurdAstyle Pleated Shorts #127 from 07/2012 and you made changes. I adore everything about them 🙂

  • Oh sorry and I meant to say the reason I enjoy and read your blog is that your style is so fresh and everything you make is so well put together. I aspire to sewing as well as you x

  • Three years! Wow! I really love reading about your makes and seeing the beautiful pictures you take…I also love it when you blog about Brazilian food (That makes me want to make some Brigaderios and stuff my face… 🙂 ).

  • I love so many of your projects, but my favourite was the Named Reese wraparound skirt from a few months ago. Congratulations on reaching 3 years, here’s hoping for many more to come!

  • Congratulation! I started following you when you participated in Project Sewn. I loved your style and I love what you sew for yourself. You are inspirational as I move from kids clothes to sewing for myself.

  • Wow! where to start! I love your style and your beautiful photo shoots! But those are just a few reasons why I read your blog. I also like to read your pattern reviews. I really like the Lady Skater dress you made. What a giveaway!

  • I love that I get to see all the new patterns on your blog (hope you can get back into your pattern testing soon!). That latest Flora is gorgeous, the colours are fabulous and suit you so well ;o)

  • My favorite was the bombshell bathing suit!!

  • I love the bombshell bathing suit you made!

  • ybat

Wow! You’ve accomplished so much I’m in awe of you. I started reading your blog because I love your style. I really like your fabric choices and it inspires me to make beautiful things for myself. batresyohana@yahoo.com

  • Congratulations! I like all of your dresses, could not say which one most. My favourite blog post is “sewing blissfully”

  • Wow – I can’t believe you keep track of all your makes with that much detail!!
I really like your floral BHL blazer – such a great style for you. I also loved your Project Sewn pink coat. I follow you for so many reasons, one being how you will try almost any pattern but still manage to make them in your style – genius! Love your work 🙂 Happy blog birthday!

  • I haven’t been following you for a long time. Only since February but I love-love-love your blog(and I secretly have a girlcrush on you. Not so secret now, whoops) All your posts are so well constructed and thought through and your blogging skills are on a level I can only dream of reaching. I loved the You Da Bomb jacket post and basically every post as you explain how you reached your final result. And you make yourself seem human with showing us your mistakes. Though you still seem like a superwoman as you are tackling so many things at the same time.

Anyways. Huge congratulations on your anniversary!!! And I hope you get some well deserved rest 🙂

  • I absolutely loved all your entries for Project Sewn. You have such a great sense of style and I always enjoy seeing your finished items.
Congratulations on three years of keeping up such a great blog!
    Eleanor

  • i think i started following you during project sewn and just loved your use of colour and drama. the outfit i loved the most is a difficult question as it is probably the pink coat because of the beautiful colour but i also loved the betty dress for its simple silhouette.

happy anniversary and thanks for inspiring us all.

  • Congratulations on 3 wonderful years of blogging. You have so many beautiful makes that it is hard to pick one, but your new Flora dress takes some beating in my opinion. I also loved your project sewn coat and your Brasilia dress is also wonderful for so many reasons.
I enjoy reading your blog because of your friendly but really informative style – I enjoyed your Dakota sew along (though I did it as a Dakota sew-sometime-afterwards), and found it really informative.
Thank you for hosting a great giveaway!

  • Nice info graphic lovely lady. Thanks so much for organising nylon! I can’t decide if I love your Brasilia dress (cos self drafted! ) or your pink coat from project sewn. All your projects are awesome tho!

  • I love your bagpuss coat! I also love your styling posts like the one before the start of MMM. Your blog was.png of the first I started reading and it is so inspirational. I would love to get the the point where my handmade wardrobe looks half as good as yours! Please enter me for your amazing giveaway! Thanks. 🙂

  • Peach&Olives

Congratulations for these three years!! I have been following your blog only for some months now, but I have gone through all your posts. Once I started, I couldn´t stop reading!! My favorite project was the Dakota dress. I live in a cold weather and finding nice dresses to wear in winter is a complicated task. I will definitely sew mine this year (following the sew-along of course!) Thanks you for all the time and effort you spend on this blog. 😀 (peachandolives@gmail.com)

  • Congratulations on the blogiversary!
There are so many reasons why I love your blog. Way back then I started following you because you are very similar in height and body shape as me. I love your style and eye for the perfect fit. Often I see something on you and think: hey I should try that shape or style. You are a great inspiration! Thank you for that!

My favorite post is the release of your Brasilia Dress. My favorite House of Pinheiro makes are the Cynthia Rowley tulip skirts (I bought the pattern after seeing yours), your pink project sewn coat, your monochrome bombshell dress and the shorts suit that you made that same summer.

Rachel, I hope you keep blogging for a very long time! I’m looking forward to all the new things you will make!

    Happy blogiversary!

    • I’ve spread the word for an extra entry. I would LOVE to win bundle #1!

  • Oh a massive congratulations on writing this lovely blog for the past 3 years! I loved reading all your sewing stats – that is a LOT of sewing!
And what a fantastic giveaway – you are too kind!!! Why do I love reading you blog? Because I love to see how you put your own spin and inject your own style into each garment you make – it is always so inspiring.
    🙂

  • I love the statistics you’ve put together – how ever did you work out all those numbers?!! I have been reading your blog here and there for a long time, but added you to my Feedly list during Project Sewn when I saw those gorgeous shorts you made. I should have done it sooner, it’s a great blog!

  • Hello! I’m a newbie reader to your blog, just found you via a combo of Me Made May on imstergram and Tilly and the Buttons this month. Having had a browse with a cuppa and a biscuit, I read your blog because of the enthusiasm you have for sewing, the gorgeous professional looking photos and the use of zig zags instead of the word comment 🙂
Happy anniversary. It’s my 10 year wedding anniversary tomorrow xxx

  • I have been following your blog for about a year – I am in awe of how many things you manage to make and how amazing they all look and particularly the way you put such a lot of effort into styling the things you make and taking great photos of them!

I loved the pink coat from Project Sewn – it looked stunning!

Congratulations, Rachel! I’m so glad to be a part of your gorgeous and inspiring “house” 🙂
Although I love reading all your posts and seeing all your beautiful outfits – after all, I come here to be inspired with your interpretation of patterns and fabrics – I must say my favourite post+outfit was Project Sewn’s entry dedicated to Coco Chanel (Moderne Mademoiselle:Coco meets Rachel, posted on Feb 4, 2014): gorgeous jacket, blouse, shorts, and I just loooove the swiming ladies fabric and how the blouse matches the jacket lining (it’s such a precious detail)!
Thank you so much for the giveaway (I would really love to get bundle 1, if possible – I’m in love with BHL’s fabric & patterns).
I wish you all the best and another 3 (or 5, or 10) more years, dear!
    Laura (laurarfleal@gmail.com)

  • Happy Blog-i-versary Rachel! (I’m not entering your fab giveaways – ‘cos if I was lucky enough to win anything I’d have no where to keep it – my stash is outta control LOL!)

  • I just seen the Sew Over It wrap dress you did. I loved it so much I just bought the pattern! I’ve been searching for a wrap dress like this for a while now.
    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

    All the best,

    Tania

  • What a lovely giveaway! I think my favourite make of yours recently is the pink da-bomb coat you did!

  • Parabéns Rachel,
congratulations on your beautiful makings and a truly inspirational blog. I’m just sad, I haven’t been here from the very beginning. Thank you also for answering my e-mail, you really made me dare to start sewing and I’ve found a new passion. I loved every single dress you have made (even the “Mad men challenge 3”-dress) but my current favourite is the BHL floral dress. Such a pretty fabric 🙂 Obrigada! Elisa

  • I love reading your blog because you’re an inspiration to us all. Your garments look very professional and I hope I can achieve that one day. I loved your Brasilia trousers. Thank you for the giveaway and happy anniversary!

    Hi Rachel!
I read your blog because it’s so inspiring! You always manage to make gorgeous clothes that look bang on trend and the sort of things that you see in high street boutiques! I have to say, I think the flora dress you just posted is one of my favourite garments that you’ve made- just the combination of fabric and pattern is gorgeous!!!
I would absolutely adore winning Bundle 1 – I really love BHL designs but as yet haven’t managed to make any of their patterns!
    Thanks for the brilliant giveaway!
    Hannah x (htheoe@hotmail.com)

  • Congrats on your blog-iversary! It wasn’t until I saw your Winter Dakota that I actually thought of that pattern as flattering. The photos that Named has on their site were kind of convincing me otherwise. I also really liked the variation you did on your second Coco. If I ever get around to that pattern, I might have to try a similarly colorblocked version. And one of these days, I want to try the recipe/directions you had for Brazilian easter eggs. Those looked delicious

  • Congratulations on 3 years! My favorite thing you’ve made is the Deer & Doe Plantain with cut out deer on the elbow patches. SO Cute! I want to make my own so badly!!!

  • Copacabana outfit inspired by your shoes, as part of the Project Sewn competition. Barry Manilow’s tune of the same name is now ringing in my ears and it is only a matter of seconds before I break out in song, . . . 3,2,1. Copa…

  • Favourite outfit was definitely the Midsummers Night Dress…loved the pattern, the fabric. Awesome.

  • Awesome 3 years! I love your Victoria blazer, its very my style bold and bright. I think that’s why I like most of your outfits they are very similar to what I like to make 🙂

  • Congrats Rachel. I’ve been following your blog for a while and always look forward to your next make. Picking one outfit is hard! I would have to go for your Brasilia dress – love the use of the darts.

  • Congrats on 3 years of blogging!! I remember the first post I read from your blog- it was your polkadot Elisalot dress. At the time I was just thinking of starting a blog, and had been sewing for myself and my two little girls- but that post was the first time I saw someone making clothes that were so fashionable. It really inspired me to think differently about the clothes I was making for myself, and to realize I could make things that looked just as good as something you would buy from a store. I love your blog for the sewing, but also enjoy reading more about the sewing community at large. And your personality really comes through and you seem like such a nice and genuine person! OK enough gushing- congrats and thanks for the great giveaway! I’d love to get my hands on all of those BHL patterns especially 🙂 My email is info (at) cutcutsew (dot) com

  • I really loved your pink coat from project seen, congratulations on your blog birthday!

  • I will be honest – I have no idea what the names are of all the things you sew but I do remember the hat – I loved that hat!! Well done on 3 years and THANK YOU for organising such a great day on Saturday 🙂

  • My favorite make of your’s has got to be the mixed pattern Colette Laurel dress you made for the Colette challenge!! Such great inspo.

I love reading your blog because you have oodles of style, and also you know what looks best on you which takes lots of practice and confidence. Your energy is infectious and reading your blog always cheers me up and inspires me! Axé! xx

  • Hi Rachel! Congratulations on 3 years! My favourite item you’ve made was the modified 60’s style Laurel dress. I’m new to sewing and tried this pattern but got it all wrong with the type of fabric and the sleeves. Since seeing your version I’ve decided to give it another go and this time I’m so happy with it! This is why I love your blog – you’re a star sewer and full of inspiration.

  • Congrats! I don’t remember exactly when I started following your blog (A LONG time ago now) but the reason was that ‘d never seen anyone sewing the types of clothes that you do. I’ve been inspired ever since

  • Congratulations on your milestone! I read your blog because I love your individual and unique style in sewing. Very inspirational.

  • (My name’s Bobby but I’m a girl). Why do I read your blog ? Well, cos you’re the sexiest blogger around ! 😉 I love sewing, and I read a lot of sewing blogs, but though they usually make nice things, it often lacks that little bit of “woh” that you have. And I like that your pieces are always so colorful !You’re a great inspiration.

  • I love the Flora you made. Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary. I love the prints you chose and the variety of your handmade wardrobe. Your makes for Project sewn just blew me away.

I’ve just been looking through your blog trying to find my favourite item of yours, and I can’t decide, mainly because I’m stopping and reading each post as I come across it and it’s taking me forever! What I do love though is the variety of your posts – every one is different, and they are all equally interesting. I also love the artworking you do on a lot of your photos 🙂

  • My most favourite post is your club tropicana BHL 1st Birthday. You all looked like you had a lot of fun and it really showed the community and social aspect of dressmaking – after all whats the point of a beautiful handmade outfit if you don’t show it off – thank you for organising #NYLon I had a lot of fun.
