Gather Tallis Collar

 Hi friends,
I had the pleasure to test Gather‘s Mortmain dress a while ago and been planning to make a new version since my first version don’t fit me anyone. As part of their first collection, Gather launched this adorable detachable duo of collars called Tallis. In my opinion the perfect manageable project to teach someone to use the sewing machine for the first time.
I don’t have any more of the Tallis classes scheduled but I wanted to share my class samples. Aren’t they cute!
Oh Sorry, twitter alert while shooting this pictures. Do you use twitter? connect with me.
The fabrics and ribbons are from Village Haberdashery.  I cannot remember what are the fabric names right now but I shawl update when I’m back.
What was your first ever sewing project?
Share:
  • A bunch of pillows for my bed, when I was about ten years old…. I’d sewn bedsheets and handkerchiefs before but these were my first “real” project. Still have them 🙂

  • Sooooo cute!

  • Very cute and fun on you!

  • A shoe bag made in school classes with some appallingly bad appliqué hedgehogs!

  • These collars are so cute! My first sewing project was a little cubic house for my guinea pigs, haha. Then there followed more guinea pig hammocks, houses and sleeping bags 🙂

  • Something for my dolls of course, then apron in the school, and then a dress in university!

  • My first ever sewing project was a dress for arts class, for which I’ve sewn a bustier (all by hand) from a burdastyle pattern, but without boning or anything and before I knew how to properly finish seams etcetera… But, it sparked my love for sewing!
