Ma petite poupée de chiffon

I couldn’t make my way to Paris without a little treat for Lola. So I wiped these up the day before. Using My rag doll book as the started point. I couldn’t decide which one to make and again, I totally made up the outfits.

Sounds silly but I wanted to make the doll clothes inspired by real sewing patterns and use ‘real clothes fabric’. My inspiration was the nettie bodysuit, dephine skirt and catwalk trend: sleeveless coat.
Rainy boots and self draft beret. did I overdone on pokadots? Lol

This time I didn’t embroider the face. I used fabric pens and real blusher on the cheeks. What I love the most is the hair. I had this chucky wool from last year snood.(unblogged)

Construction wise, I tried something different from last doll. I left a hole on the back, sewn everything and fill the doll all at once. Than slipstitched it closed.

The muslin I used frayed like mad. Next time, anti fray will be my best friend.

I don’t like sewing clothes for other people but absolutely love crafting, sewing gifts etc. I find it so rewarding.

 Are you making christmas gifts?
