It has been a while since my last update on the lifecycle of my handmade wardrobe.
It doesn’t feel like 21 months ago since I first posted about this pink coat, nicknamed the Bagpuss. The pattern is slightly ‘A’ line shape- 60’s style drafted by me back in 2013. There are details pictures and tips on quilting on the original post if you are interested.
The fleece really helps heat-control keeping the coat very cozy. It is incredibly light to wear and the bright shade really gets complements from strangers. I have made two pink coats (this 2013 and the project sewn in 2014). I was so tempted to sew another this year. Could pink coats be my thing? Luckily (or not) you been spared (so far) of yet another pink coat. As you can see on my peacoat progress I choose a lovely black and white print.
In other news I had a little hair makeover. I had over 10 cm chop off. I loved the dip-dye light ends for summer but fall calls for a change. This midi bob style will give my hair opportunity to grow healthier.
Bonus: no hair covering necklines right?
The bagpuss coat had a long journey and gave me great practical knowledge. I’m very happy that it not only lasted very well it continuous to bring me a lot of joy wearing it.
At last one good thing about the start of fall. I can start to wear this cute coat again.
By the way, isn’t polkadots shoes adorable? They are from Boden.
