Blog tour book Giveaway: The Tunic Bible

Tunic  RTW inspiration

Over the blog last week, I shared the process of creating a block and a book tour for children’s clothes using one pattern as a starting point accompanied by instructions on how to sew different versions. Today I’m sharing a similar proposal for an adult book. The only difference is that you don’t have to draft the extra designs. They are included. I’m talking about The Tunic Bible: One Pattern, Interchangeable Pieces, Ready-to-Wear Results. Accordingly with authors Sarah Gunn and Julie Starr the tunic bible “combines all of the components needed to construct unlimited fashionable tunics”. Sizes xs to xxl (Bust 84 cm/121 cm). The book has Illustrated instructions and pattern available to print* at home or copy shop version. ( Electronic copy)

The book covers all the elements of the tunic, advice and technique on how to sew: Plackets, collars, sleeves, cuffs, etc. Don’t think it’s only has woven versions. The book also covers a knit tunic.

I’m the last person on the blog tour. I don’t want to repeat what all the others already mentioned. I agree that the concept is very interesting and easy to use. If you like tunics this book will keep you busy. I cannot comment on the pattern fit as I haven’t sewn a version. The book has a lot of sewn inspiration so even if you are not a tunic convert like me you may find something to inspire you to make it your own. Aren’t both Sallie and Sonja’s versions lovely?

*The first run of the book is sold out but they are reprinting.
Comment for a chance of winning. Giveaway closes  October 16.
Housekeeping: The winner will receive either a hard copy (US-based) or an electronic copy (outside the US.)
